An exceptional opportunity has recently arisen for a Lead Specialist to join our Specialist Services team.

This is an exciting time at Tandridge District Council as we have just completed an ambitious transformation project. We have changed the way we work and put a renewed emphasis on using the best technology to deliver services in a way our customers find easy to use. 

We are an innovative Council that delivers a range of high quality services to its customers.

This role will lead the Regulatory Services team and ensure we provide customer-focused services, maintain training levels and provide expert advice across the Council. Our busy team needs your enthusiasm and drive to help us deliver for our residents and make our services as efficient and effective as possible.

In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of four Regulatory Specialists. You will help guide them through an intense period of change and embed new ways of working. All the while ensuring we perform to our highest standard and meet all statutory obligations.

About you

To be successful in this role you will be RTPI qualified and have an extensive working knowledge of planning and planning enforcement. This will be combined with a natural ability that allows you to drive processes and confidently communicate your technical expertise to elected members, colleagues and the public alike.
