An opportunity has arisen for a part time Team Leader post as part of a job-sharing arrangement.  The team is part of the South Community Family Team based in Weston-super-Mare.

Our Community Family Teams are established teams of consultant social workers, social workers, family support workers and young people support workers who together provide effective and targeted support to achieve change.   We also have a dedicated contact service to provide supervised contacts for children who are looked after.

We are looking for a team leader who is passionate about the work, confident and can use their experience to lead and develop the work of the team.  The post holder will be responsible for carrying out the day to day management of child protection services, including child in need, care proceedings and adoption work.  You will be social work qualified, experienced, enthusiastic, ambitious and knowledgeable and able to take a key role in planning and improving services.

The South Community Family Team is made up of three small teams with established, experienced managers who work together to provide high quality safeguarding and support across the locality. Working alongside the current post holder you will take responsibility for the standards across the team, providing effective management and leadership to ensure that the service provided is of the highest quality.  Alongside a POD leader you will support the development of ASYE’s throughout their first year in their career.

If you are thinking about taking the next step into management, we would also like to hear from you as we are developing a support pathway for new managers.
