The role of the Rent Accounting Section is to maintain the integrity and accuracy of the Housing Rents database ensuring property, tenant and financial details are correct and that all payments are reconciled.

Your responsibilities will include:

•Managing, coordinating and monitoring the work of the Rent Accounting Section

•Recruiting, managing and developing officers to achieve their potential

•Project managing and leading on the year end closedown process including the uprating of rent accounts

•Monitoring performance against targets

•Ensuring consistency in working practices

•Providing a service that best meets customer needs and organisational objectives

Essential Criteria:

•Ability to manage staff effectively and deal with poor performance

•High levels of accuracy and a structured analytical approach to problem solving

•Developed project management skills from design through to implementation and completion

•Ability to negotiate with and influence people at all levels within the organisation

Provisional interview date Thursday 28th February.
