Inglefield is a residential children’s home that provides short breaks for children with disabilities. We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed person who will have a sensitive approach to the needs of the children and who will work closely with the existing cook and the care staff to ensure that high standards of food provision are maintained.
The position involves the planning, purchasing and preparation of nutritionally balanced and appetising meals for the children and staff. You will also be required to serve the meals and clear away and ensure that the kitchen facilities are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness to meets the requirements of the food hygiene guidelines.
You will ideally have a Food Safety level 2 certificate or above, and/or a relevant catering qualification.
Experience of working in a school/residential kitchen is desirable.

Example Rota (Week starts on a Sunday):
- Week One - 2 hours Thursday 3-5pm and 6 hours Saturday 12noon to 6pm
- Week Two - 6 hours Sunday 12noon to 6pm and 2 hours Thursday 3-5pm.
Days are rigid but hours may have a little flexibility to be discussed at Interview.
