Our Customer Services team is the first point of contact for customers who visit our offices or telephone our Contact Centre. We assist customers across a wide range of council services by providing information or recording their service requests, or by ensuring that they are referred to the right service area.
Working hours: Monday to Thursday 8:30am – 5pm
Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm
The salary scale for this post is scale C (£15, 613 pro rata) to Scale F (£23, 398 pro rata).
The starting salary will be at our scale C (£15, 613 pro rata) with progression to scale D (£17, 072) after 6 months satisfactory service. Thereafter, progression would be through experience with annual increments.

You may be required to work at our Market Street and West Street offices in Newbury.
This role has been identified as public facing in accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2017; the requirement to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence in English applies.
