This is a fantastic opportunity to become a fully qualified teacher within a year. Rawmarsh Community School is able to provide exceptional training to ensure that graduates make rapid progress and become outstanding teachers in the classroom. Over the past five years, Rawmarsh has established a strong collaborative relationship with both Sheffield Hallam University and Wickersley Teaching School, providing excellent career opportunities to a range of trainee teachers and newly qualified professionals. Graduates at Rawmarsh receive a comprehensive, structured training programme, delivered by highly trained mentors and bespoke to the individual trainee's needs and through Learners First are awarded Qualified Teacher status (QTS) at the end of the first year.
Our mentors are all outstanding practitioners who have a track record of developing trainees into outstanding teachers. They are highly skilled in observing lessons, delivering feedback and supporting trainees holistically, all of which has been quality-assured by external Ofsted-trained inspectors as recently as November 2015. In partnership with Sheffield Hallam University, Ofsted judged the quality of training, outcomes for trainees and overall effectiveness as outstanding.
We particularly welcome applications for Graduate Trainee Teachers in the following subjects: English, Maths, Geography and History.
