The Corporate Health and Safety service are seeking a health and safety professional who is looking to putting their mark in supporting management and employees to ensure health and safety compliance.
The organisation is undergoing significant change. This presents opportunities to allow for creative new ways of working and for you to build your skills. For this you need to be able to self-manage, influence others and strive to proactively improve safety across the organisation. You will ideally have experience in auditing and inspecting in the field of safety, be able to articulate your findings to mixed audiences from front line staff to members. A confident approach with great communications skills is necessary along with data and legislation interpretation. It would be advantageous to have experience in Construction Design Management and fire safety. You will be keen to take the Council through the change period to the next level within a work environment that offers variety and responsibility across a broad range of services. The role requires a flexible and can-do attitude.
You would need to be qualified at NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent and hold IOSH Graduate membership or equivalent.
