Salary: Grade 5 - £25,463 – £28,895 Pro Rata for all hours worked

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Community Development team for a Project Officer to join us with a specific remit for developing and engaging our communities in new models for the delivery of community buildings and assets.
You will play a key role in the improvement of residents’ quality of life in Stevenage and will contribute to developing a co-operative, sustainable and more socially cohesive community. As our Project Officer for Community Buildings and Assets you will be working in a fast paced environment, engaging with multiple stakeholders, elected members and a range of internal departments in conducting time limited community engagement activities on future models of delivery.
To be successful in this role you will have been educated to a good standard including GCSE’s C grade or above, alongside further and higher education related to the role. Candidates must have experience of project management delivery alongside community consultation and evaluation experience.
You will be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team, deal calmly and confidently with emotional situations and have the ability to understand the needs and perceptions of residents.
A full UK driving licence (with access to own vehicle) is desirable.
