We’re looking to recruit a Tenant Participation Coordinator to enhance the way we involve tenants with key initiatives and community based projects across the borough. You’ll develop a clear and effective framework in which tenant participation operates, delivering guidance and supporting good governance of all tenant groups. You’ll take the lead in communicating the council’s policies and procedures around tenant participation and Tenant Management Organisations (TMOs) to all audiences and actively contribute to creating key training programmes.
You will make a difference by working closely with residents, staff and Council Members in a fast paced, challenging but rewarding environment. You’ll work closely with the Head of Service in supervision and support of the Tenant Participation Service, managing four staff to ensure that key projects are delivered and desired outcomes achieved.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need excellent stakeholder engagement skills as you’ll be developing strong relationships with a range of tenant groups and community led organisations.
Your knowledge of Government regulation around tenant involvement and empowerment will mean you can confidently support Housing staff and work with Tenant & Resident Associations and TMOs to deliver the best outcomes for the people of Camden.
At the heart of this role is the ability to implement and develop service improvement initiatives, whilst ensuring the highest level of customer service. To do this, you’ll need strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills, as well as being familiar with Microsoft Office programmes including Excel and Access.
