Croydon Council; a leading London council has an exciting opportunity for a Learning& organisational development manager reporting to the Head of Learning& organisational development. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing the Organisational development strategy in support of the business' growth and objectives. This role will have a real range and depth of delivering substantial organisation development and change management interventions in a highly complex, dynamic, and diverse organisation. Being able to develop and translate organisational development strategies into operational delivery will be paramount to being successful in this role.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience of:

 

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience leading organisational development initiatives
  • Strengths in leading and developing high performing teams
  • Developing and driving initiatives to ensure successful implementation of organisational and development interventions
  • Developing/Revising performance management processes
  • Developing leadership and management development frameworks and programmes
  • Developing and implementing talent management frameworks and processes
  • Designing/ developing and managing of staff engagement initiatives, learning & development and culture change interventions
  • Manage and co-ordinate key transformation projects, mitigating risk and opportunities associated with transformational change
  • Developing strong and effective stakeholder management internally and externally
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Experience in leading and implementing new ways of working requiring strong elements of influence and collaboration
  • Diversity and equality issues, agenda and programmes; setting diversity strategy and networks
  • Developing a programme of support for senior and middle managers to ensure         compliance with our values framework and performance management processes
  • Developing detailed evaluations of organisation and/or learning development strategies and/or interventions to measure the return on investment in terms of volumetric outputs and behavioural outcomes and inform future strategic direction and investment
  • Managing budgets
