The new Mayor of Lewisham, Damien Egan, has set out a bold and radical vision for the next stage in Lewisham's story. This role is an exciting opportunity to work directly with the Mayor to support him in achieving his vision for the borough.
As PA to the Mayor, you will provide high-level and comprehensive administrative support to the directly-elected Mayor of Lewisham. You will manage the Mayor's dairy, monitor and respond to correspondence, support the Mayor in their civic and public engagement roles, maintain office systems and processes, and facilitate effective working relationships between the Mayor, Cabinet Members, Councillors, council departments, MPs, external partners, the voluntary and community sector and residents.

What we’re looking for
We are looking for a highly organised PA to join the small team providing support to the Mayor of Lewisham. As PA to the Mayor, you will need to be able to demonstrate your ability to work on your own initiative, under pressure and with due regard to confidentiality and sensitivity. You will be able to demonstrate experience of managing a heavy workload and prioritising conflicting tasks, and of supporting high-profile individuals in a political or senior executive environment.
In return, we’ll offer excellent development opportunities, plus a range of benefits that include a career average pension scheme, flexible working and the opportunity to make a real difference to our local community.
