You will manage the day to day running of a kitchen and obtain accurate numbers of people who require meals on a daily basis to include special diets or any individual requirements of service users.
You will take into consideration the food budget when planning menus and preparing food and order provisions, preparing, cooking and serving meals in accordance with approved menu patterns, recipes, procedures and portion guidelines, including packed lunches where applicable.
You will be responsible for checking and recording all food and equipment temperatures in line with safe catering procedures and supervise kitchen staff and keep records for all orders, deliveries, stocks and usage of all goods in the kitchen.
You will contribute to the development of a customer focused service which is responsive and flexible to the needs of the customer.
