The Avon Pension Fund is administered by Bath & North East Somerset Council and manages the pension fund for a range of employers within the old Avon County Council area. With a current value of c. £4.6bn, it is one of the largest local authority pension funds in the UK.
You will be part of the Finance and Accountancy Team working within the Fund. You will assist in preparing and monitoring the Fund’s budget of c. £25m, making regular reconciliations of pensions accounts and preparing the final accounts. You will also assist in the receipt and allocation of £150m contributions per annum and developing the systems that ensure that this is done accurately and efficiently. You will also be responsible for providing financial information to employers, the actuary and others.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to gain a broad range of financial experience with the opportunity of advancement.
Applicants should have a full accountancy qualification with significant experience, preferably in a large multifunctional organisation. You will have good communication skills and enjoy working in a team.
