2 year fixed term contract (may become permanent)
SCALE NS11 £30,756 - £32,233 per annum
An opportunity has arisen for a suitably skilled and experienced individual to support the Business Manager in helping the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Elected Members to shape the Council’s priorities and objectives. Ensuring that appropriate resources and operating models are in place to deliver corporate priorities, you will be required to provide support, advice and information to stakeholders regarding key changes to policy and legislation and provide assurance through the Business Manager that the Council has responded to the same by taking the necessary action. You will provide project and program management support to deliver change to increase sustainability and/or resilience and deliver efficiencies where appropriate.
With demonstrable experience in a policy/ strategy development and change management/ research environment you will interpret, analyse and organise complex information and use this to inform transformation and change management decisions. Educated to A level or equivalent you will have experience of project management and be able to demonstrate completion of projects within agreed time frames and to a high standard. With effective organisational and administrative skills and the ability to work on your own or as part of a team you will adopt an innovative, creative and diplomatic approach. You will be able to work well under pressure and adopt a flexible and adaptable attitude in order to meet tight deadlines. You may also be required to work out of office hours on occasion to attend evening meetings.
