Business Support Manager Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards Team which requires a Business Support Manager to support Hertfordshire Supervisory Body. The Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards Team receive and manage all applications for those living in care homes or staying in hospital who lack capacity to consent to these arrangements. It is responsible for arranging the authorisation of the Deprivation of Liberty and sending out paperwork to interested people to reflect this in line with case law.
You will be joining an excellent team, receive regular supervision and will have training opportunities to keep your skills and knowledge up to date. Successful candidates will have the ability to manage an admin team of Senior Support officers, have meticulous attention to detail, the ability to manage invoices and ensure payment of assessors as well as collating information and data presenting this in a format which can be shared regionally and with other departments. The role requires you to have a comprehensive understanding of the statutory processes surrounding the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards which is vital to the smooth running of the team, therefore it would be desirable if you have some prior experience of this or an understanding of similar functions within social care.
You will be a confident individual, capable of using your initiative to work effectively in some difficult and challenging situations. You will have excellent administrative and computer skills, you will be competent in using all computer packages to present information and reports. You will be able to work as an individual and as part of a team and work closely in partnership with the DoLS Team Manager.
