An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Locality Team for a Community Surveyor. This team ensures that the District is safe, clean and compliant for our residents using their specialised skills. Our busy team needs your enthusiasm and drive to help us deliver for our residents and make sure our buildings and open space are of the standard our residents expect. If you feel you could offer what we need and you have particular experience of managing trees then this is the role for you. This is a permanent full-time post and you will need to have a full UK driving licence.
You will be responsible for assisting with inspecting our buildings and open spaces and particularly using your experience of inspecting trees, specifying works to them and managing contractors carrying out works to ensure our trees are managed appropriately. You will be working together with our Locality Officers and supporting Specialists, Case Officers and Customer Service advisors to solve problems for our residents. You should ensure that you have experience of tree surveying, visual tree assessment, risk assessment and hazard evaluation as well as tree work specification setting and you should be able to demonstrate competence in these areas. You will be required to hold a minimum of Level 3-4 BTEC/ABC/C&G qualification in Arboriculture or equivalent.
This appointment is at grade M1 and therefore applicants must demonstrate that they meet the criteria of the role at M1 level as described in the Role Specification.
