£19,875 per annum pro rata. This is a six month fixed term contract commencing 1st April 2019.
The role will be primarily based at Thames Young Mariners Outdoor Education Centre. There is a requirement and opportunity to work at other Surrey Outdoor Learning and Development (SOLD) centres as required.

About the Role
We are looking for instructors who are experienced in delivering high quality outdoor learning experiences. You will be a skilled facilitator, able to adapt your style to work with a variety of different clients from primary school pupils through to youth groups and graduate students. You will have knowledge in how outdoor learning can benefit all aspects of education and personal development.
Applicants should have previous centre experience and hold National Governing Body qualifications. A current first aid qualification is essential.
Applicants should hold at least one of the following awards:
- British canoeing Paddlesport Instructor (as a minimum) or
- RYA Dinghy Instructor (as a minimum)
Plus any of the following qualifications or in house qualifications relating to these activities.
- SPA/CWA/ERCA ropes course instructor
- Archery GB Instructor Award
- MIAS level 2/British Cycling Level 2 Instructor
- A walking / expedition qualification: such as LEL/ML
- D1/PCV minibus licence
- Forest Schools Leader
