Southampton City Council is looking for a highly motivated full time Contracts Performance Analyst to join the Supplier Management Team. The team is responsible for managing the council’s main strategic contracts, in addition to overseeing the procurement function. Our aim is to ensure all the council’s third party spend, provides value for money and actively contributes to the council’s priorities.
As Contract Performance Analyst you will have a key role in helping to ensure that our outsourced contracts and procurement activities achieve their objectives. You will need to be highly organised with prioritisation skills and used to dealing with a complex and diverse workload with differing deadlines. You will need to be comfortable working independently and/or as part of a wider team, with an understanding of the political nature of the public sector. You will have relevant experience within a similar role where gathering, reviewing and analysing information and data, both written and financial is essential.
The post holder will be expected to undertake both cyclical and specific tasks. You will be able to review and interrogate contracts, process maps, performance information and supplier information, and identify whether a supplier is compliant and performing in accordance with contractual requirements and meeting the terms of their agreements with the council.
You will have experience of building effective working relationships both internal and external parties.
To be successful in this role you will have an understanding of relevant contract management and/or procurement experience.
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
