Thurrock is investing in its Children’s Services, this is a great time to join a forward thinking children’s service. We are creating a new Adoption Team as part of the Family Placement Service.

Are you a Social Worker excited at the prospect of joining and being part of the development of a new Adoption team with the passion and experience to help children and young people who are not able to live with their families?

In this role you will have the opportunity to contribute to the culture, direction, delivery and performance of the Adoption Team. Here in Thurrock we place great significance on providing the best services for our children.

You will need social work skills in family finding and permanency planning within an Adoption Team, experience of undertaking direct work with children in preparing them to move on for adoption, a good understanding of attachment and working in partnership with our Children Looked After Teams, Fostering Teams and other children’s social care teams. Thurrock is ambitious for our children and we require an ambitious Social Worker to complete our Adoption team.

*The Market Supplement payment is applicable after 6 months service and subject to performance and continued corporate approval.
