Restorative Justice and Supervision Manager

Are you:

- committed to making a measurable difference to young people affected by crime and anti-social behaviour, whether victims or offenders?

- passionate about community involvement in delivery of services?

- able to lead and imaginatively develop services for young people?

- professionally qualified to degree level in teaching, youth work, social work or equivalent (qualification must have included assessed professional practice with young people)?

- experienced in working within the criminal justice system?

- Involvement in decision making about young people facing their first interaction with Police.

- Creative oversight of the Referral Order process for young people in Court for the first time, including working with adult volunteers.

- Promotion of Restorative Justice to bring victims and offenders together to make meaningful change for both

- Delivering award winning services to young victims of crime and anti-social behaviour across Avon and Somerset.

 

Due to the previous postholder securing a senior post elsewhere, the opportunity now exists for an enthusiastic, enterprising and engaging individual to build on these successful programmes.  The post is based within the North Somerset Youth Offending and Prevention Service (incorporating Avon and Somerset Young Victims’ Service).

 

Working with partners from a wide range of settings you will manage a broad portfolio of paid staff, funded by the Youth Justice Board, Avon and Somerset Police and Crime Commissioner and the Home Office, and volunteers. You will also work to secure new and additional funding opportunities to increase the range and scope of service delivery and seek opportunities to publicise the work being done.

 

This post is exempt under the provisions of the Rehabilitations of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order 1975 and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
