A friendly, innovative and responsible carer is required for a delightful young girl aged 8 years with complex health needs to work as part of her home care team; to support her with her personal and clinical care, to help her have fun experiences, create new memories and allow her family to have a break.
A fun, reliable and flexible person is required who has some experience of working with children with multiple disabilities.
The young girl is wheelchair dependent, and despite being registered blind enjoys regular visits to the cinema, has a passion for music and loves going for walks. She has a lovely sense of humour and gets quite giddy when amused.
Hours are 10 per week and will include evenings and weekends; the hours are flexible and are based around her preferences, opportunities and the family’s needs.
Full training and assessment will be given for clinical interventions and moving and handling for the successful person before being left in sole charge.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
