Graduate / Year-Out Planner - 1 Year Fixed-Term
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly-motivated individual with a keen interest in planning to join our dynamic and successful Planning Team as a Graduate / Year-Out Planner. This is a key role in the Planning team and you will play an integral role in driving forward development within the Borough and help to turn our vision into reality as part of our Planning Team.

We will ensure that you gain valuable planning experience from determining householder applications to smaller scale developments including presentations to planning committee; in addition and subject to workflow, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in planning enforcement, planning policy, planning appeals, and transport planning. The role will also include some project based work to assist the Planning Team with the protection of Trees within the Borough.

We are looking for recent graduates or students (of any degree specialism) looking to take a placement year within their studies who have an interest in planning and the regeneration of East London. You should be self motivated, enthusiastic, able to work as part of a team and have the ability to learn new information quickly.
The successful candidate will lead in contributing to the delivery of an efficient and effective Development Management service for the borough, including engagement with developers and other key stakeholders in enabling the delivery of quality developments within the Borough
