Job Title: Adaptations Project Manager
The Barnet Group is currently seeking to recruit an Adaptations Project Manager with knowledge and understanding of adaptations works, DDA requirements and building regulations.
The role will report to the Major Works Planning and Delivery Manager and will work closely with residents, external agencies, contractors and other teams within Barnet Homes to provide an excellent service to residents, whist maintaining control of quality of works, budgets and key performance indicators.
This role is central to the Housing options service which works on the frontline to help homeless people in Barnet. The service provides housing and homelessness advice, allocate the Council's housing stock, and procures temporary accommodation (TA).
The Adaptations Project manager will be responsible for:
Providing a client representative function to the aids and adaptations contracts including;
1) Managing the principle service providers
2) Ensuring works delivered are of the correct quality
3) Controlling of an annual budget of circa. GBP 1m
4) Managing and instructing external consultants including;
o Cost consultant
o Health and safety advisor/CDM coordinator
o Specialist designers
We are looking for applicants with a high degree of technical expertise and experience in effectively managing budgets. You will also have experience of and a qualification in project management.
Currently our main offices are located at Barnet House, Whetstone N20. We will be moving to new modern offices at Colindale NW9 in Summer 2019
