We are a new, independent, not-for-profit-company established to deliver the best possible opportunities for the children of Reading. Our responsibility is to provide excellent services for some of the most vulnerable children.
Our vision is to unlock resources to help every child have a happy, healthy and successful life. We believe that we are most likely to succeed if our staff, children and young people we work with are involved and engaged in everything we do.
We are currently looking for an experienced accountancy assistant to join our busy corporate finance team.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Working within the Brighter Futures for Children’s Accountancy Team to undertake essential accountancy support functions that enable the delivery of a consistently high quality, proactive financial advice and support service to Children’s Services.
- Maintaining quality and high standards of data within the financial management and linked systems.
- Contributing to setting and achieving standards to ensure that there is overall financial control within the Company.
Brighter Futures for Children is formed by staff who have local knowledge and an excellent understanding of the needs of the Borough. The Company is enabled and owned by the Council, but controlled and run by its own directors with a dedicated leadership team and operational independence.
