Apprentice (Information Governance)
Fixed Term 12-18 months
£17,776 - £18,143 inclusive of outer fringe allowance per annum

The Resources and Governance Team is looking to appoint an Apprentice to support the work of council in relation to Data Protection and Information Management.
This is an extremely exciting opportunity for someone hoping to develop their skills in business administration. You will assist the teams on a range of projects, ensuring the council meets its statutory compliance with Data Protection, Freedom of Information, and Data Transparency legislation.
The role will require you to act as first point of contact for the team in relation to information governance. You will have an understanding of the importance of working in a confidential environment, be responsible for maintaining accurate records and assisting with the coordination of responses subject access requests.
You must be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and have excellent IT skills particularly around MS Office. You will need to be organised and have experience of managing conflicting demands.
You should enjoy working as part of a team and have the ability to respond positively to change.
The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and other employees and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post.
The qualification type and level will be agreed with the successful candidates.
