We are currently seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Assistant Groundsman to work at Runnymede’s flagship park, Victory Park in Addlestone, Surrey.

The main purpose of the role is to ensure that a high standard of maintenance and presentation is maintained and to deliver excellent customer service at our parks.

The successful candidate will be able to work effectively independently, be self-motivated, honest and flexible. This may be the job for you if you have experience of working outside all day and experience of carrying out manual work. You will need to be prepared to work in all weather conditions and be able to work on your feet for the duration of the shift. Some aspects of the job are particularly physically demanding.

Duties of the role will involve keeping the parks clean and tidy, including cleaning the changing rooms, public toilets, grass cutting and pruning plants and bushes. Some testing of facilities and record keeping is also involved. You will need to have good communication skills and be able to liaise with the public in a polite and friendly manner.

You will need to hold at least a provisional UK driving licence and be willing to undertake further training in order to operate the ride on tractors and buggies in the parks. You will also have the physical ability to undertake all of the duties associated with this role.
