An opportunity has arisen at Southwark Council for a motivated and highly professional social work team manager.
Based in Southwark Council's Communities Division, and reporting to the Community Support Manager, the NRPF Team Leader (Social Work) will lead a team of social workers responsible for the timely, effective and efficient provision of assessment and support of clients with no
recourse to public funds (NRPF).
Under your leadership your team will assess the needs of adults under the Care Act 2014 and families under the Children Act 1989. You'll oversee the process of assessing eligibility and the planning and delivery of focused intervention and support to NRPF clients to achieve positive outcomes.
You'll apply your knowledge of immigration, human rights and community care legislation to ensure appropriate and timely support is put in place and that cases are resolved as quickly as possible.
To be considered for this position, you'll need:
* A recognised social work (or equivalent) qualification, and current HCPS registration
* In-depth knowledge of social services, immigration and human rights legislation, case law and guidance as relevant to NRPF clients
* Experience of managing staff members
