Hertsmere is located in southern Hertfordshire – we are 13 miles from Central London and within the M25. We adjoin Greater London with excellent road and rail links making London and the Home Counties easily accessible. The Council Offices are situated in Borehamwood within Zone 6 and with a direct rail link into London Kings Cross St. Pancras. The area is an internationally renowned centre for film and television production, home to BBC Elstree and Elstree Studios (a council owned asset). 

 

Hertsmere works in partnership with Three Rivers District Council and the successful candidate will process informal challenges and provide a range of administrative support services within the Parking Services team for both authorities. The role will investigate and process informal challenges against penalty charge notices served in accordance with the regulations. 

You will need proven administrative experience, experience of constructing letters, good IT and keyboard skills. It is essential that you are able to deal with the public both face-to-face and over the telephone, in what may be difficult circumstances. Previous experience of working in a parking services environment would be an advantage. 

The post is offered on a full time, permanent basis (36 hours per week).
