The Human Resources service provides a comprehensive HR, Employment Relations and Pay and Pensions service to Council departments and schools. We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated, suitably skilled and experienced Recruitment and Resourcing Officer to join our team on a temporary basis.
Supporting predominantly school recruitment, the duties of the post will include advising on advertisements, the preparation of recruitment documentation, pre-appointment checks, responding to queries on terms and conditions of employment and issuing contracts.
You will ideally hold a recognised Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development qualification or equivalent, or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience. You will have a sound understadning of pre-employment requirements and an up to date working knowledge of employment legislation, applicable to resourcing, recruitment, selection and issuing of employment contracts.
You must have experience of working in a Human Resources environment together with knowledge, understanding and experience of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel, experience of working with large integrated HR and/or pay software systems and communication skills.
You should have experience in dealing with high volmes of recruitment and will have the ability to manage your own time, prioritise tasks and work to very tight deadlines. You must also be proficient in keeping accurate records using an electronic document management systems.
This post is fixed term for 12 months.
