Temporary Accommodation (TA) Compliance Surveyor

12 Month fixed-term contract

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week

TBG Flex - part of The Barnet Group

Are you looking for a challenging role in a fast-paced frontline service?

Barnet Homes is a dynamic and innovative housing organisation, delivering high quality front line housing services on behalf of Barnet Council.  The Housing Options Service (within Barnet Homes) provides housing and homelessness advice to those in need in one of the most popular places to live in London.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a TA Compliance Surveyor to join the Housing Options Service.

The role plays an important part in meeting our objective to acquire and retain good quality, affordable accommodation to address growing housing demand.

You will support the Housing Options Service to deliver its compliance programme, ensuring that compliance issues and the needs of tenants and landlords are addressed in a timely and effective manner. You will have a sound knowledge of Landlord and Tenant law, health and safety HHSRS, building surveying, property and facilities management.

You will be expected to travel within and outside the borough to inspect properties procured for use as emergency or long-term temporary accommodation. Access to your own transport is therefore essential.

What we are looking for:

*A positive and very flexible approach to work.

*The ability to work under pressure.

*An effective communicator, with excellent writing skills.

*An individual with energy, enthusiasm and a strong commitment to customer care.

*A strong team player who can deliver positive results in a fast paced and demanding environment.

If you think you have got what it takes to be part of our team, we would like to hear from you.

Currently our main offices are located at Barnet House, Whetstone N20. We will be moving to new modern offices at Colindale NW9 in Summer 2019.

Closing date: 21st December 2018

Assessments and Interviews: 9th January 2019
