We are looking to expand our service to help us continue to provide a high quality Bereavement Service that meets the needs of the bereaved in our communities.  As such we are seeking someone who can juggle the demands of this varied, interesting and important role.

You will be working with the bereaved, funeral directors, ministers, service officiants and other stakeholders. You will work as part of a team ensuring cremations are carried out with the dignity, respect and in accordance with statutory and local requirements.

You will need to have a good eye for detail, good organisational skills and be able to prioritise and manage your workload.  You will be highly skilled at working in a sensitive environment, a good team player, reliable and able to communicate effectively, sensitively and sympathetically with the bereaved, visitors, funeral directors and other stakeholders.

You will be expected to hold the appropriate qualification in the safe operation of cremating equipment, to conduct chapel attending duties at funerals and have experience in delivering high quality front line services.

Your professional development is important to us. You will have a personal development plan and you will be expected to attend service specific training.

You will be expected to work hours determined by the service requirements, within a shift rota system which may include weekend working.
