Business Unit Leader for Legal Services (RLEG008)
Salary: Up to £47,588pa + £5k pa market supplement
MSDC is looking for an experienced legal officer who has managed a group of legal and admin officers in a friendly and supportive legal environment. Although not essential, local authority experience is desirable as you will be the central contact for elected Members on the work of the Legal Business Unit.
You will be responsible for leading and managing the Council’s legal service, developing a number of staff, with the prime objective of ensuring the planning and delivery of work in accordance with service plan objectives and agreements.
You will possess an appropriate professional qualification, and be able to demonstrate proven experience of successfully operating within a similar role. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with a calm yet determined disposition and the ability to influence, inspire and motivate others at all levels.
