An enthusiastic Technical Support Officer is required to join the Environmental Health & Licensing team, working primarily within Taxi Licensing, to provide cover for this busy team. The job holder and other TSOs are required to provide a courteous and efficient response to legal and technical enquiries, administer procedures carried out by the team and take a lead in EH&L administrative matters.

Main responsibilities include:-

responding to customer enquiries
keeping accurate computer and manual records and producing statistical information
processing applications
following work instructions

Suitable applicants should have:-

basic knowledge of legislation
knowledge of the work of regulatory services
ability to deal effectively with a wide range of service users
commitment to customer care ensuring prompt efficient referrals to correct services
good keyboard skills (50 wpm desirable)

Good all round knowledge of EH&L issues (especially Licensing) would be desirable, as the post holder would be primarily required to provide support in this area.

Interviews to be held w/c 7th January 2019.
