We are looking to recruit a candidate who is enthusiastic, dynamic and committed to ensuring that Foster Carers are recruited and retained who are competent to meet the needs of vulnerable children.
You must have a social work qualification and sufficient knowledge and understanding of Fostering to inspire confidence and assist the Panel in reaching appropriate decisions regarding the approval of carers.
Panels normally take place at the rate of 2 per month on dates agreed for the year. The rate per panel includes preparation reading for panel and subsequent approval of minutes.
The expected duration of each panel is 6 hours but some may be shorter and occasionally some may be longer.
There may be some additional hours for training or appraisal or other activity appropriate to an independent chair and would be paid at £45 per hour.
Most Panel Meetings take place within the Town Hall, Barnsley, South Yorkshire
