This is an exciting to join a busy, committed and motivated team responsible for the assessment and review of children and young people with special educational needs (SEN) in Brent.
The Special Educational Needs Assessment Service is looking for people with experience in Local Authority or school setting who will be able to communicate to a high standard both in writing and verbal with a range of senior staff as well as head teachers, SENCO’s and school staff. The post will be the main point of contact for administering the Education, Health and Care assessment and review process, This will require contact with parents/carers, schools and a range of professionals. This is an essential coordination role to assist in meeting the team’s performance indicators in delivering Education Health and Care Plans.
The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills to a high standard. They will need to be IT literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Word. The ability to use and maintain a database is a desirable aspect of this post.
You must be able to demonstrate excellent organisational, planning and administrative skills to a high standard, alongside being able to plan your workload in order to meet strict deadlines and work collaboratively with team members.
You will need to have a flexible approach and be able to respond to changing work demands.
