The Youth Offending Service requires a Project Worker to work with young people involved in the criminal justice system both pre-court and as part of various statutory Court Orders. The role will include planning constructive community based reparation activities, delivering face to face work, supervising and supporting young people in completing activities as part of their involvement with the Youth Offending Team. You will be responsible for identifying and carrying out risk assessments on potential projects or activities which young people could engage in as part of their order.
You will also be required to deliver a range of interventions following assessment on a one to one basis or group work sessions in accordance with National Standards and promoting effective practice.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and creative person, who has experience of delivering interventions to our client group, has some knowledge of the Youth Justice system and who is able to build rapport and engage this vulnerable client group.
