Live Well Project Officer
Do you want to play a role at the heart of Croydon’s regeneration?
This is an exciting time to join the District Centre and Regeneration team - a team specifically established to focus upon regeneration outside of the main town centre, ensuring that our nine district and local centres remain vibrant and exciting places to live, work and visit. The regeneration team includes colleagues from parks, sports and physical activity, economic development, business support and draws in a range of other council and partner organisations.
Live Well is an integral function within the regeneration agenda, providing an opportunity to influence the design and activation of parks, high streets and public realm to encourage residents to adopt a healthy and active lifestyle. The objective of this service will be to utilise and add value to community assets with the aim of supporting Public Health Outcomes.
As a Project Officer, you will deliver a variety of projects supporting the Prevention agenda, encouraging positive behaviour change across a number of health behaviours. This is a new, exciting, high-profile service and to be successful you will be energetic, motivated, and innovative; a self-starter with a strong track record of delivering results.
You will have a background in health, parks/ physical activity, regeneration or community development. You will need to be driven, analytical, well organised, and have the flexibility to progress projects with changing deadlines. You will also be a team player, an excellent communicator and be comfortable with working with people at all levels, including senior internal and external stakeholders.
