Commissioning high quality children’s social care and special educational need placements is a priority for Halton Borough Council. Ensuring that these placements are not only robust, but also offer the best possible value for money for the Council underpins this. This post will sit within the newly established centralised placement division which has been set up in Halton to have the dedicated focus, oversight and responsibility of the whole lifecyle placement process.
This role will assist with the sourcing, monitoring and quality assuring of placements for children and young people in the care of Halton Borough Council, which includes young people up
The post holder will have a degree in health or social care or equivalent professional qualification along with experience of working in a health or social care setting and within procurement. The role requires collaborative working with a range of providers and being able to influence, persuade and negotiate. Good written and verbal communication skills are essential as is experience of using recording of information systems.
