We need a Deputy Family Support Coordinator to work with the Family Support Co-ordinator to lead the area based Early Help family support service, deputising as required to allocate resources, ensuring that those families and individual family members in the greatest need receive the right levels of timely and appropriate support.
The post holder has responsibility for a caseload of families with a range of multiple and complex needs providing practical and emotional support as early and effectively as possible to reduce the need for more intensive support later on.
The ideal candidate will need:
- A professional qualification in social care, education, early years, health, housing management or youth and community to at least NVQ level 4 or equivalent
- Experience in delivering evidence based interventions and support to families with complex needs within an integrated family support service.
- The ability to provide case supervision which includes assessing risk and managing and supporting a team on safeguarding and child protection issues.
- The ability to support early years providers in the locality to identify early help cases, establish robust recording systems and track impact.
