Adult Mental Health and Substance Misuse East Service (Hastings and Rother)
1 x Social Worker/Resource Officer vacancy (Six Month Secondment opportunity)
The role involves working with clients who present with a range of Social Care needs arising primarily from Severe and Enduring mental health issues or Substance Misuse in the Hastings and Rother area of East Sussex.

You will be assessing client’s eligibility under the Care Act, acting as Enquiry Officer for Safeguarding Enquiries and working in partnership with our health colleagues from Sussex Partnership Trust and Change Grow, Live (CGL)
You will need to demonstrate that you have excellent skills in verbal and written communication, Assessment and Risk Management, and work well as part of a team. You will also need to demonstrate you have experience of Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and will be expected to have knowledge and experience of the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act. Knowledge of the Mental Health Act would be an advantage.
Applications are welcomed from Social Workers who have completed their ASYE (Assessed and Supported Year in Employment) or experienced Resource Officers who would like to develop their knowledge and experience of working in the area of Mental Health and Substance Misuse.
You will need the agreement of your line manager to apply for this post.
You will need to hold a full driving licence or be able to demonstrate how you will meet the travelling requirements of the post.
