We are looking for someone with wide experience of procurement within the construction and environment category in the public sector. In this role you will provide procurement advice for a variety of exciting new build, construction and regeneration projects. You must be able to advise internal clients about different routes to market, and understand the interaction of programme, design and construction management services in the procurement of regeneration projects. You will be involved in a range of procurement projects making sure they are conducted in line with the regulatory requirements, our policies and service priorities. You will either hold, or be studying for, MCIPS or have equivalent experience. Construction or project management qualifications or experience would be advantageous but are not essential.
You must be able to work independently and inspire confidence in your professional judgement while building successful working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. You will need to be commercially aware with a detailed understanding of construction procurement and associated legislation, strong project management skills and well developed political awareness supported by solid IT skills.
