Senior Housing Officer – temporary for up to 18 months

This opportunity has arisen as a result of the substantive post holder being successful in a secondment opportunity to a more senior role.
We are looking for someone who has at least two years housing management experience and with excellent communication skills, along with the ability to shape and develop the team for the challenges ahead. The role is responsible for the management of eight generic Housing Officers who provide the Housing Management Service to our tenants in over 4200 properties. Staff management experience is essential.
The role will require a flexible working approach, with particular emphasis on rent arrears, allocations, anti-social behaviour, tenancy and estate management. You will need to have experience of staff management and working in a high performing culture. Working knowledge of housing legislation and experience of case management for anti-social behaviour is essential.
Housing Management focus on delivery of high quality service means the successful candidate should be confident in identifying and implementing service improvements, reviewing policies and procedures to deliver an outcome focused customer service.
