We are recruiting a Service Manager to lead and develop the Early Help Service in Thurrock. This service provides support and intervention for families at the earliest point possible to prevent escalation of needs, reduce the demand on Children’s Social Care Services and ensure good outcomes for families.
The delivery of Early Help- Prevention in Thurrock is a corporate priority and is rolling out the whole family approach to meeting needs across the partnerships.
We are looking for a Service Manager who has experience of Early Help, particularly with complex and hard to reach families. You will need to have first rate engagement skills with partners, including the community, faith and voluntary groups. You will be a dedicated and enthusiastic professional who is committed to improving outcomes for children and their families who also has a solid understanding and background in social care.

You will need to be a Qualified Social Worker with at least 5 years post qualifying experience and registered with the HCPC.
You will need to undertake a full Disclosure and Barring Service check.
