The role sits within the Platform Engineering team which provides an emerging DevOps function within the Digital and Data service area of the IT department. It’s an exciting technical role implementing and supporting leading enterprise development and integration platforms, content and document management systems, reporting and data visualisation solutions and Master Data Management systems. We support an Agile development environment (Scrum and Kanban) and work closely with IT Infrastructure, development and line of business support teams.
If you want to learn about and help shape our DevOps ambitions, including software release practices, test automation, platform monitoring and operational support. If you want to be in at the beginning of our SharePoint 365 implementation and be integral to exciting data integration projects. If you want to work with technologies that are at the top right of the Gartner Quadrants such as the Dell Boomi iPaaS and the Mendix Rapid Application Development platform, you should apply for this role.
It’s a fast paced environment where you’ll be contributing to a multi-year programme of organisational modernisation and business change. As part of Orbis, a shared services partnership between Brighton and Hove City Council, East Sussex County Council, and Surrey County Council, you’ll have exposure and opportunities beyond the immediate Council, should you wish.
You’ll be based in our modern open plan offices in the city centre and benefit from flexible working – work life balance matters. Joining our energetic and supportive team working closely with Agile development teams to deliver improvements to the council and Brighton and Hove citizens. Salary: £31,401 to £34,106
