Mansfield Town Centre Townscape Heritage Project Officer (MDC8177)
£17,169.72 – £19,949.83 pa, 24 hours per week
Hours to be worked flexibly (Mon – Fri)
This is a 5 year fixed term contract.
Mansfield District Council has been awarded a Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) grant towards a Townscape Heritage programme to stimulate the heritage-led regeneration of parts of the town centre.
Working alongside the Council’s Regeneration team and Conservation Officer, the Townscape Heritage Project Officer will manage the programme in accordance with the HLF’s ‘approved purposes’ and conservation best practice. The Officer will manage and monitor the third party grant process, encouraging applications and guiding property owners from grant application to completion of works on site. The role includes overseeing the work of the Project Activities Consultant, who will bring forward a programme of activities to engage the public in the protection and regeneration of the historic environment. The Officer will be responsible for the overall monitoring of the programme, reporting to its various stakeholders, including submitting progress reports and grant claims to the HLF.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enterprising person with some grant administration experience, seeking to develop their project management and heritage skills.
The role is part time, 24 hours per week (which may be worked flexibly), based at Mansfield Civic Centre, with home working when appropriate.
