An exciting opportunity has arisen within Repairs and Maintenance to join the high performing and fast paced team in Legal Disrepair. This is a chance to make a real difference to our resident's lives and homes and seeing issues through from start to finish. You will be the point of contact for customers who make a disrepair claim against the council. This involves using your exceptional customer service skills, working to strict deadlines, meeting residents in their homes and ensuring the works that are needed are completed quickly, to a high specification whilst working around our residents and their diverse needs.
You will deal day to day with surveyors, customers, councillors, solicitors and senior managers from across the council so must be able to build trust and relationships quickly and be comfortable in all forms of communication explaining high levels of technical advice to a range of audiences. This team really go the extra mile in making sure residents go from being dissatisfied to happy as quickly as possible and are the front line in resolving some of our most complex but rewarding cases.
The successful applicant will have a varied knowledge of housing including contract management, repairs and maintenance service delivery alongside experience of working with the public, resolving queries and giving advice.
