Principal Officer – Child Protection
You will be pro-active in reducing the likelihood of significant harm to those children and young people in Birmingham, who attend child protection conferences.
You will ensure that parents and children actively engage in the protection planning and review process; as well as ensuring the child’s voice is clearly heard throughout the process.
Paired with your social work qualification, registration with the Health Care Profession Council, post qualifying experience and clear understanding of social work issues and research; you will ensure children deemed to be suffering or likely to suffer significant harm engage in the conference process; thus making sure conferences are pitched at the right level in line with the child’s age and level of understanding.
