For us, there’s nothing more important than the quality of our address data. Not only is it critical to providing services to our communities, it also provides the glue that enables us to join up data between separate, siloed systems, helping us to turn data into information and insight, which in turn will help us to transform the way that we deliver our services.
In order to ensure that our address data is as accurate as possible in all of our line of business systems, we are recruiting additional data management officers to lead a series of improvements through data matching and cleansing exercises, and the development of improved processes for ongoing maintenance.
The successful candidates will provide a comprehensive service for all aspects of data management, with an initial focus on address data. You’ll undertake analysis of the existing data, match and cleanse it as appropriate, and work with colleagues to ensure that there are processes in place to maintain the quality of the data.
You’ll become the ‘go-to’ expert for all enquiries and requests relating to data matching and cleansing, assessing each one and deciding on any appropriate actions. You’ll work alongside colleagues throughout the council, establishing their needs and the challenges faced. This will allow you to then ensure that the data is fit for purpose and all processes are streamlined and enable success.
This role needs a talented individual who combines technical expertise with a passion for data quality. You’ll need a strong analytical mind to make a success of this role, combining this with your technical experience to find creative solutions to the challenges presented. We want someone who will be excited by the prospect of driving digital transformation and able to do their best work in a fast paced and challenging environment.
The nature of the role requires someone with confidence and great communication skills. You’ll be happy not only working within your team but also with others throughout the organisations.
Appointment at the senior level will require you to be able to demonstrate significant experience of leading complex data management, analysis and/or manipulation projects. Although this role doesn’t involve any direct management responsibility, we will look to you to play a leading role in the team. As a senior member of the team, you’ll inspire and act as a role model for more junior members.
