Wakefield Council has an enviable record in delivering regeneration, housing and economic growth. We are now looking to appoint two effective and efficient Programme and Project Officers as part of the newly reformed Regeneration team within the Strategic Housing and Regeneration Service of the Council, to support the development and successful delivery of the Council’s ambitious regeneration aims and objectives.
Having a good understanding of programme and project management and monitoring techniques and practices, you will implement, administer and support programmes and projects, which will contribute to the sustainable regeneration and urban renaissance of the Wakefield District, in line with the objectives set out in the Wakefield District Economic Strategy.
You will have the ability to work in a team and liaise and engage with other Council services, colleagues and external agencies including businesses, community groups and members of the public to bring forward schemes to physically revive and repurpose the city and town centres across the Wakefield District to help make them a destination for businesses, investors, residents and visitors.
You will also be able to support the administration of external funding for regeneration and housing projects and assist in the preparation of funding bids and liaison with external funding organisations to explore and secure funding opportunities to enhance delivery.
If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you…
