Information and Projects Officer


An exciting opportunity has arisen to join this high achieving and fast paced team within Adult Social Services. As a directorate, we are passionate about promoting people’s wellbeing and supporting residents to stay active in their communities and retain their independence for as long as possible.
 

The Information and Projects Team is central to this vision by providing information and advice internally to staff and externally to local residents and partners including the voluntary sector. The team is also responsible for coordinating service planning, policy development and project management in the department.


As part of your role you will develop and manage systems for quality assurance and effective maintenance for public information to ensure information is accurate and is accessible to residents at all times, this includes information provided by private and voluntary sector partners.


In addition you will work with colleagues to ensure residents and stakeholders are actively engaged in local developments including dissemination and promotion of public information. There will be an opportunity to get involved in various other projects and events through the year.


The Information and Projects Team is a dynamic and proactive team, where you are able to use your initiative and problem solving skills to support and maintain a number of projects simultaneously. 


Being self motivated with good organisational and communication skills is key.  Some knowledge of databases and managing online data is desirable.  Ability to set up systems that ensure effective information capture and dissemination and extracting reports, analysis trends and making these accessible to a wide audience would be beneficial.


This is role is suited to someone looking for flexible part-time working hours and willingness to be part of team and sharing workloads. The working hours for this role is 21 hours per week.
